"Japan Seeks Australia’s Help to Thwart Whaling Opponents"...ugh
I have been in Japan for almost a year now, and even before I left I was a bit interested in Japanese whaling practices. As one of the last countries to be involved in whaling, they should be disgusted with their activity.

I find no reason to kill an animal, a gigantic behemoth of an mammal, that gives birth to single live young, for the reason of nourishment.
Ah but the the loophole in international whaling law would deem this..

for reasons of scientific research where obviously excess materials (meat and blubber) are shoveled off into the stomachs of the Japanese public.
I have never seen whale to buy or eat in Japan. I'd say, curiosity for whatever said research should be satiated.
NO. I've seen these research tactics before. My memory be a bit rusty though. I know stuff like this happened in and around prussia and throughout Europe in in the forties...hmm. Well, I'm going to watch 'Schindler's List'. peas
